Jeremy Hunt and Nigel Mills visit Deb Group

On Tuesday 28th April, as part of my busy campaign schedule, I took the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt to visit a local organisation, Deb Group – the international skincare and hand hygiene experts, at their headquarters in Denby.

Deb Group is the largest skincare product provider to the NHS, with 40% of the alcohol sanitiser and soap market. This successful local organisation employs over 250 staff in research and development, manufacturing and distribution.

During the visit we had the opportunity to tour their excellent research facilities, meeting staff and seeing first-hand the exceptional research and development being pioneered by the Derbyshire-based organisation.

It was a fantastic opportunity to visit Deb with the Secretary of State for Health and I was pleased to show him such an innovative and successful local business; it is expanding, exporting and benefiting greatly from Conservative Government initiatives to support business such as Research and Development tax credits.

Following the visit, Mr Hunt said: “I was pleased that Nigel Mills invited me to visit Deb, a successful local business, which is a major supplier to the NHS. It was fantastic to see and hear about how they are innovating ways to improve cleanliness and patient safety in NHS hospitals.”
