Nigel taking part in Print-Rite Europe's charity bike ride to China

Visit to Print-Rite Europe

I was pleased to recently visit Print-Rite Europe to open their new 3D printing hub, help them along with their charity bike ride and launch celebrations of two big anniversaries for the company.

Print-Rite Europe are based in Langley Mill, and they are the European division of the world’s largest manufacturer of after-market printer consumables. As a result, they specialise in products such as ribbons, inks, inkjet printer cartridges, laser printer cartridges, toners, OPC, rollers, chips and 3D printers.

The company employs over 30 staff at their local base, and they export products all over Europe. Print-Rite’s global headquarters is in Zhuhai, China and the business is celebrating it’s 35th anniversary this year. Their Langley Mill base was acquired in 1996, which means 2016 is also Print-Rite Europe’s 20th anniversary.

To celebrate these anniversaries, the Langley Mill employees are embarking on a 5944 mile charity bike ride from their offices to China, crossing 20 countries from the security of an exercise bike in their car park! They’re nearly halfway through their journey, and I added a few miles to help them further on their way!

Also during my visit, I was pleased to open the company’s new 3D hub, which is leading the way in developing new uses for 3D printing and 3D pens, through their CoLiDo brand, and encouraging the expansion of this technology into new sectors such as education, health and industry. They’ve also produced some excellent 3D printed Print-Rite coasters!

Tony Mills, the Chief Executive of Print-Rite Europe Ltd commented:

We were delighted to welcome Nigel to Print-Rite and appreciated his enthusiastic interest in our business, especially our new range of 3D printers. Developments at Print-Rite will continue and we look forward to contributing more to the local economy within Nigel’s constituency and very much look forward to welcoming him again when he joins us for our 20th anniversary gala event later in the year.’

It was fantastic to visit such an innovative company which is constantly striving to expand and diversify into new markets, and leading the way in new technologies and products. Print-Rite Europe are a great local employer and I wish them well with the rest of their cycle to China, which seems a perfect way to commemorate their enduring success whilst also looking towards their future global growth!
