On Friday 16th May, I was delighted to welcome Owen Paterson, the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to my constituency to visit BPI Recycled Products in Heanor.
I was delighted to show the Minister the great work they do at BPI, including their latest £1.5 million investment in their recycling line, which brings back jobs from China to Amber Valley.
We discussed the potential impact of the carrier bag tax due to come in to force in 2015 and the potential implications that such a tax would have on jobs in Heanor.
