Dear Constituent,

I hope you’re well. This is a short special edition of my email newsletter to ask for your views on the candidates to be our next Prime Minister. 

As you will be aware, following the resignation of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister last week, the Conservative Party is now in the process of electing a new leader and therefore a new Prime Minister.

This process involves the Parliamentary Conservative Party selecting two final candidates through a series of votes. To decide which of these two candidates becomes leader, the candidates are then put to a vote with all members of the Conservative Party up and down the country.

As MPs, we’ve had the first few rounds of voting this week, with further rounds to come next week to get down to the final two candidates. So, I’ve created a short poll for Amber Valley residents to express which of the remaining candidates you would choose to be our next Prime Minister. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and I’d be interested to hear your views as the contest progresses.
