Dear Constituent,

Welcome to a short special edition of my newsletter for Christmas. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Christmas Card Competition Winners:

Thank you to all the children who entered my Christmas Card Competition this year. We received hundreds of fantastic designs from many schools and children of all ages across Amber Valley, and it was very difficult to choose a winner!

Congratulations to Mara Bradshaw, age 9, from Waingroves Primary School for her brilliant  design of Santa flying over Ripley Town Hall:

Well done also to the four runners-up, who feature on the reverse of my card:

Christmas Opening Hours:

My office will be closed after the 21st December and will reopen on the 27th December 2018.

We will then be closed on Monday the 1st of January, and reopen from the 2nd January 2019.

Coach Trip to Parliament:

A few weeks ago, we organised two coach trips to Parliament for 100 constituents to visit Westminster, see the Houses and Palace, and meet me for a Q&A session to talk about the role of an MP and discuss recent events – mainly Brexit!

I hope everyone who came on the trip had an enjoyable time, and I look forward to hopefully welcoming more constituents to Westminster in the New Year. Please do get in touch if you would like to be kept updated on future trips.

Street Watch:

As always, if there are any street repairs in your area, such as potholes, pavement repairs or broken street lights, you can report these issues and concerns to me quickly and easily here so I can ask for the repairs to be investigated and addressed.
