I’m pleased to confirm that I will be holding the Amber Valley Jobs Fair this Friday, 6th September, in the Sports Hall at Ripley Leisure Centre between 10 AM and 4 PM.
This event is open to all constituents looking for work or training opportunities, and is free to attend.
Constituents will be able to find opportunities with around forty local employers, including Thorntons, Owen Taylor & Son, Vaillant, The Derbyshire Hotel, Zycomm, BPI Recycled Packaging, Babcock International, Unidrug, McDonald’s, Webhelp TSC, the Co-Operative Group, Mercia College, trent barton, HL Plastics, Your Bus and Forbo Flooring.
Also at the event will be training providers including A4e, Derby College, Mercia College, the University of Derby, Care Training East Midlands and Being Your Own Boss, four of which will be providing seminars on CV writing tips, interview success, apprenticeships and starting your own business. Trent Barton will be providing half price bus travel for any of my constituents using their buses to get to the Fair. You can download a voucher for this here. Amber Valley Borough Council has kindly agreed to provide free car parking for constituents driving to the event.
Constituents need not register to attend the fair – just come along.
