Jobs Fair on Friday 28th March

I’m pleased to confirm that I will be holding the second Amber Valley Jobs Fair this Friday, 28th March, in the Sports Hall at Ripley Leisure Centre between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Last year’s fair was a great success, with over six-hundred constituents attending and one-hundred finding opportunities as a result of the day.

This event is open to all constituents looking for full-time or part-time work, apprenticeships or training opportunities, and is free to attend.

Constituents will be able to find opportunities with around forty local employers, including Owen Taylor & Son, Futures Housing Group, Serendipity Healthcare, Zycomm, BPI Recycled Packaging, Babcock International, UPS, blue arrow, Cooper Research Technology and others.

Also at the event will be training providers including Derby College, Mercia College, A4e, Being Your Own Boss, Shaping Skills, Prince’s Trust and Acorn Training – three of which will be providing seminars on CV writing tips, interview success and starting your own business. You may register for a seminar here.

Trent Barton will be providing half price bus travel for any of my constituents using their buses to get to the fair between 10 AM and 1 PM. You will be able to download a voucher from the fair’s web site. Amber Valley Borough Council has kindly agreed to provide free car parking for constituents driving to the event.

Constituents need not register to attend the fair – just come along. For more information, visit the web site by clicking here.
