Getting stuck in at Lons Infant School

I was delighted to help Futures Housing Group staff lay the footpath at Lons Infant School in Ripley last Friday.

We were doing the work as part of their Make a Difference Day efforts, which is work they do during National Volunteers’ Week to support the local community.

I was grateful for the invitation and the chance to take part. Their efforts show that volunteering really can help the community.

The Chief Executive of Futures Housing Group, Lindsey Williams, said: “It was fantastic to see Nigel Mills MP at our MADD event. It was a huge volunteering effort by us and it’s great that Nigel was able to visit and support us in making a difference in Amber Valley during the week.”
