Early in November, I was pleased to attend the signing of the D2n2 Local Growth Deal by Greg Clark, Minister for Cities and Peter Richardson, the Chairman of D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership. The growth deal will see an investment package totalling £554.m between now and 2021. The substantial investment will unlock nearly £380m of additional funds from local partners and the private sector to make a combined package of £554.4m over that period. The deal will support various projects to deliver local economic growth including on the road network, broadband and skills training.
We’ve seen £47.4m of funding confirmed for 2015/16, which will mean growth and jobs for people here in Amber Valley.
