Dear Constituent,

Welcome to a short special edition of my newsletter for Christmas. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Christmas Card Competition Winners:

Thank you to all the children who entered my Christmas Card Competition this year. We received hundreds of fantastic designs from many schools and children of all ages across Amber Valley, and it was very difficult to choose a winner!

Congratulations to Kaja Bagniewska, age 6, from Langley Mill C of E Infant and Nursery School for her brilliant penguin design:

Well done also to the four runners-up who feature on the reverse of my Christmas Card:

Royal Mail Festive Visit:

I recently visited Royal Mail’s local delivery offices to meet the postmen and women who are working hard sorting and delivering mail in Amber Valley during the festive season.

I was shown around the Ripley office by Delivery Office Manager, Andrew Rowe, who showed me how they’re coping with the increased Christmas demand, and ensuring everyone gets their cards and presents in time.

Thank you to all of the staff for hosting my visit and for the fantastic service they provide to all of us throughout the year!

Christmas Opening Hours:

My office will be closed on the 23rd December and will reopen on the 28th December 2016.

We will then be closed on Monday the 2nd of January, and reopen from the 3th January 2017.

Street Watch:

If there are any street repairs in your area, such as potholes, pavement repairs or broken street lights, you can report these issues and concerns to me quickly and easily here so I can ask for the repairs to be investigated and addressed.
