Amber Valley Over 50s Fair – Heanor

I’m pleased to announce that on Friday 5th September I’ll be holding the first Amber Valley Over 50s Fair. It will take place at the Wilmot Street Community Centre, Wilmot Street, Heanor, DE75 7EF between 11 AM and 3 PM.

I know that many people over the age of fifty have a wide variety of concerns, aspirations and needs, including health and well-being, work and pensions and volunteering opportunities.

There will be representation from a wide range of groups including the Heanor and District Over 50s Forum, Age UK, the CAB, Futures Homescape, Amber Valley Rotary, Amber Valley CVS, Heanor Library and Places for People (Heanor Leisure Centre), and more.

There will also be representation from the Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group, which is currently consulting on health services in the town.

Constituents will also be welcome to raise issues of concern with me.

Trent Barton has kindly agreed to provide half-price travel to the Fair on its buses going to Heanor on that day, but you’ll need to use the voucher, available for download here. It’s also available on a flyer that’s being distributed around my constituency.

I look forward to seeing you there.
