Alfreton Train Station Disabled Access Event – 11th September

Alfreton_station_flyer-page-001

Network Rail and East Midlands Trains are holding a drop-in public information event this Friday afternoon (11th September 2015) at Alfreton Train Station. The event will showcase the disabled access improvements that will be installed at the station next year.

A display of the alterations that will make the station accessible for all (including step free access to platforms and a new footbridge with lifts) will be on show. This is great news as I know the improvements are much needed and long-awaited by the community, and I welcome the opportunity for constituents to see and have their say on the plans.

There will also be an exhibition of the plans for Alfreton’s new Station building; this includes a ticket office, waiting area, toilets and retail space.

The event will take place in the Station Foyer between 14:00-17:30 hours this Friday and representatives from Network Rail and East Midlands Trains will be on-hand to discuss any questions you may have. I hope you will be able to attend.
