Alfreton Business Club Q&A Session

I attended an early morning Alfreton Business Club Election Q&A session, giving local businesses the opportunity to meet with me, ask questions and raise concerns in the run up to the General Election. I welcomed this opportunity to meet local business, answer their questions and discuss support for businesses under a future Conservative Government.

Under the Conservatives, the UK is set to be the highest growing economy this year – with growth at 2.6%. None of this would be possible without small local businesses like the ones I met with which are the lifeblood of our local economy; creating jobs and attracting investment to the area.

Under Labour, taxes on business were too high and regulation overly burdensome – making it harder for businesses to invest and create jobs. Government action to cut regulation and support small businesses has seen 2,210 small business start-ups here in Amber Valley since I was elected.

I always welcome the chance to meet with local businesses and listen to their concerns and it was great to meet with the Alfreton Business Club today to answer their questions, discuss their concerns and tell them all about what a future Conservative Government will support small businesses in the area.
